OMG! I'm still alive! *tehgasp* lol Nah, I'm still working on stuff just been doing a lot of it in my sketchbook versus all digital. Sadly, I'd upload more, but my sketchbook is 11x14 and my scanner is 8x11. So I have to resort to taking photos of anything I draw in my sketchbook. I ended up getting a new iMac from my old crappy Vaio, but the Mac won't recognize my scanner or my camera. So my process now to upload a piece that isn't done digitally is:
1. Take photo of picture.
2. Load up into Windows on Bootcamp to get photo off of camera and put on thumb drive.
3. Restart into Mac, and open file from thumb drive into Photoshop for editing.
Just a bit of a pain in the ass. lol However, I'm going to try and be good and get to doing some more digital work. Aion has just been eating up my spare time outside of work and class (you'd think I'd learn after WoW).
Now! Onto the artwork~! I started the initial dragon sketch back around July sometime and it came with me to Mini-Megacon (so if you saw me there, you've probably seen the inked version of this guy). I took Color Theory (majoring in Computer Animation now WOOT!) this semester so I decided to turn this into my project for "Eye to the Future". Was a fun time as I busted out my set of Prismacolor Pencils (which I'm extremely rusty with) and felt like I permanently bruised my hand while trying to do the background. lol
As far as the dragon goes, this took me the longest to color simply because I could not think of a color scheme for the dragon. Obviously he's in space so I knew the background was going to be darker colors. Thankfully my boyfriend is a genius (I luff you~!), and suggested a white dragon... eventually refined into a "Prism" dragon. Soooo we have this rainbow-y kinda dragon. :3
Those purple things were my attempt at nebulas... again, rusty with colored pencils. lawl
Like the shadings and the wing beyond the moon.^^
Can I use this picture as exemplar for making a gif? :3
